Antony Tutt – FCA

Director

Antony qualified in 1987 and joined Magee Gammon in 1996 becoming a principal in 1998. He is currently the joint staff director. Antony specialises in providing Business Strategy and Tactical Management advice, together with taxation planning to a range of clients from sole traders to subsidiaries of large overseas companies and substantial Kent based businesses.

 

Abhi Jain

Director

Abhi re-joined the practice in 1999, after working for a number of years as the Financial Director for a commodity broker based in the city, having trained with a local firm. He became a principal in 2010. Abhi predominately advises SME business owners in maximising profitability and tax planning.

 

Roland Parry – FCA

Director

Roland joined Magee Gammon in 2003 from industry where he was the financial controller for a large group of companies, which gave him a valuable insight into the workings of the commercial world. He has an in-depth knowledge of VAT. He became a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and was promoted to principal in 2010. He is joint staff director for the practice.

Andy Childs – FCA

Director

Andy joined Magee Gammon in 2013 after Magee Gammon’s acquisition of a local firm in 2013 and became a principal in 2015. Andy has a diverse portfolio of clients from those requiring help with personal tax returns to UK subsidiaries of overseas companies requiring complex audits, accountancy and taxation advice. Andy also has considerable expertise in the not-for-profit sector.

Andy Vanburen – MBA, ACA

Associate Director

Andy returned to practice in June 2017, as a qualified Senior Manager, having spent the previous ten years gaining experience in industry as a financial controller. On his return he undertook & completed his MBA. He was promoted to Associate Director in April 2019 & specialises in dealing with all aspects of owner managed businesses. Andy is responsible for the Marketing function of the firm.

Craig Gardner

Associate Director

Craig joined the firm in August 2019. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser with Deloitte in 2001 where he assisted in looking after many well-known media and entertainment clients. Since then has worked in a specialist estate planning firm, managed a tax department and has run his own business. Craig specialises in private client tax work including Inheritance tax, LPA’s, trusts and estate planning.

David Lockitt – FCCA

Associate Director

David joined us in December 2021 & has worked in practice since 1997, qualifying in 2002. He works with business’s offering support & guidance to improve profitability. For the past 15 years he’s specialised working with clients within the NHS, including GP’s, Consultants, PCN’s & Federations,  developing a particular specialism helping them navigate the intricacies of NHS pension schemes.

Peter Horton – FCCA

Associate Director

Peter joined the practice in 2006 (having qualified in 2004) as a Senior Audit and Accounts manager to various principals in the firm. He has a wealth of experience and technical knowledge of accounting and taxation issues gained over his years in practice, acting for a variety of both personal and corporate clients. He was promoted to Associate Director in April 2019.

Steven Wanstall – FCCA, FMAAT

Associate Director

Steven has worked in practice since 1996, qualifying in 2005. He joined the practice in April 2017, as a Manager to the principals. He deals with all aspects of accounting and taxation issues relating to both profit and non-profit making organisations and individuals. He was promoted to Associate Director in April 2019.

Mark Britland

Consultant

Mark trained with a local Kent-based firm and continued his career with a larger regional firm, he joined Magee Gammon in 1994, becoming a principal in 1998. His specialties include corporate and income tax planning for SMEs and business and profit growth advice. Mark is responsible for the administration function of the firm.

 

Jon Gammon – FCA, TEP

Consultant

Jon trained with one of the ‘big four’ accounting practices and on qualifying joined a regionally based practice, becoming a partner there in 1989, before leaving them to set up Magee Gammon in 1992. Jon retired in March 2020 and is now working with us on a consultancy basis.

Jon is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).
