Assoc. Director Andy Vanburen successfully completes a cycle ride of three alternative ascents of Mont Ventoux

On 10 July one of our associates Andy Vanburen successfully completed a cycle ride of three alternative ascents of Mont Ventoux to join a ‘crazy club’ of 22k people worldwide who have completed this in one day. 

Each climb is circa 2,000 metres (5 times height of Empire State Building) and on 22 July one of this year’s mountain stages of the Tour De France finishes at the summit of Ventoux (the first time in 8 years) although they do the climb just the once 😉. 

Andy’s actual time taken was over 14 hours with the final summit nearing 20:00 and with most of the Provence area under an extreme heat warning conditions were tough!
